100th Post on my Delayed Toddler!

Well, it took me a little longer than I had thought it would, but this is the 100th post on my blog. I think we need to have a little celebration here today! What are we going to celebrate you ask? Well, first I would like to thank my readers and commenters. It’s been great to hear that I am not alone and hearing your stories has certainly been encouraging! I’m glad that I can share our journey with so many other people in the hopes of helping them along on theirs. And it has been especially nice to make some friends out there in cyberland.
We’re also celebrating B. Why you ask? Because she’s a pretty darn special little girl, that’s why. She’s taught me so much about herself and me as well. I’m learning everyday what she needs and how she learns and I’m learning to slow down and celebrate the small things. I’m learning to be more patient and understanding and less quick to judge. These are not easy lessons, but my teacher is one of the best! And we’re celebrating her progress. She’s made huge gains in speech and language in the last year and incorporating sensory stimulating activities into her day has helped a lot with some of her other delays.
100 posts in and we still don’t have a diagnosis–in truth, our journey is far from over. I hope that you are enjoying accompanying us on our journey. We are more than happy to have you along for the ride.
